Opportunities at ADP-- this speaks specifically around the Alpharetta location, where I am based. It's a big location with a lot of different groups in it. If you do well, there's always going to be opportunities, not just within your own group, to get promoted but potentially in other groups, as well. To not only learn something new or try a new domain, but to get promoted as well. So you can always-- within a big company, almost-- you can try almost like different little companies. And in the startup mode, almost. Sometimes there's brand new projects that start from scratch that are more structured like a startup, and other times there's more established projects.
[TEXT: Wian, Solution Architect]
It's such an awesome culture. As I said, it's a-- we've got this huge diversity-- group of diverse people. And we all just share that culture. And everybody brings to it from India, from South Africa, or you have a Brazilian barbecue. It's just the culture is absolutely fantastic
[TEXT: Rose, Product Owner]
There’s been a lot of effort into making this area more of like a fun place to be. There's a new brewery, a new cocktail bar, a new restaurant popping up every other weekend. And we do happy hours all the time and I feel like we always have a new place to go. So there's definitely a lot to do around here. There's great cycling out here. It's definitely a good place to live if you want kind of a well-rounded lifestyle. And it's nice that it's pretty close to the city and you can get to Atlanta whenever you want.
[TEXT: Matt, Principal Architect - Applications]
There's a lot of new housing and new shops, new restaurants. With the Avalon, there's a whole lot of stuff-- an outdoor walking mall with a bunch of restaurants and everything. So that's really nice. Downtown Alpharetta itself is going through a lot of building and revitalization and they're putting in a whole lot of live, work, play type of places.

What I feel is my impact across ADP as a whole is that I feel the product is making a huge impact. We're building software that clients actually use. And we're listening to clients and responding to their needs directly. So I feel the impact is great, especially where I work in small business services, where it's really consumer-grade software that we're building. So users from the internet are coming, they're finding our software, they're using it, and we're responding directly to their needs.
[TEXT: Stephanie, UX Designer]
The one thing that excites me about my job is the fact that I feel like I am making a difference in the lives of our client practitioners, in the lives of our employees, the work that we do here, because we do pay people and it affects everyone around the world.
[TEXT: Neha, Senior UX Manager]
My role as a UX designer has a very big impact on ADP and we revamped the whole UI of our project. I started working on myADP when I joined. And we launched it-- in like two years if its launch, the whole look and feel was out there in the industry and we got a very good response. And I now know that even our leadership now likes to show you UI first-- before even the talk-- because visuals, you know, rule over text. So they have moved from PowerPoints to demos-- showing UI, showing functionalities. So I think design has changed how ADP works and ADP thinks about a product. And I think my role has a very big impact on that.

[NARRATOR] Technology has changed the way we communicate, the way we interact, and the way we use information to make decisions. It's changed our expectations of what's possible. At ADP, we identify technology changes that matter by leveraging deep insights from our dedicated Research Institute, as well as the decades of relationships we've developed with our hundreds of thousands of clients across the globe.
And through our investments in technology talent across our organizations, particularly at our four US-based innovation labs in Roseland, New York City, Pasadena, and Atlanta, as well as our innovation labs in Bristol, UK, Chennai, India, and Porto Alegre, Brazil, we develop the latest digital architecture that transforms the world of work. We're continuously enhancing our market leading platforms with innovations that provide strategic value to our clients.
By creating AI self-service tools, our platforms are taking manual tasks out of the equation for HR professionals, enabling associates to answer their own questions. Data cloud is putting HR and compensation data, aggregated and anonymized for nearly 30 million workers, into the hands of companies so they benchmark and create smart, informed HR standards.
And ADP Marketplace offers a truly open platform for clients to integrate ADP products with third-party providers, enabling the creation of truly unique and personalized solutions. With Wisely by ADP, we're giving workers the tools to manage their pay-- how they want, when they want. And our Next Gen platforms are designed specifically for how we know work is being done-- in teams.
Personalized, scalable, compliant, and global by nature. ADP has always been at the forefront of change. We pioneered the industry. And now we're reinventing what it means to be an HCM provider. I went to boot camp at Hack Reactor in 2016. And there I learned how to code, so everything from just JavaScript basics just to really get our feet wet, to learning how to work on Node, which is what we use here, and front end frameworks, databases, all the really core pieces of what you do day to day.
[TEXT: Stephanie, UX Designer]
I attended one at General Assembly. It's called User Experience Immersive. And for me, I didn't have the ability to quit my job to do this full time. So I definitely took on the part time study. And upon completing the course and getting my certification, I started looking for opportunities within ADP.
[TEXT: Jack, Software Engineer]
When I graduated from that programming boot camp, I was just looking for a solid job. And I just really appreciated all that ADP had to offer. It was a really fun product, for one thing. As I got to meet what would be my fellow software engineers, I found that I really had a really solid rapport with them and got along with them well. So between the culture, between the people, and the product itself, it really just seemed like the right fit for me.
[TEXT: Aimee, UX Designer]
After I'd completed my boot camp program, I was looking for a way to network that worked for me. So I don't really enjoy going to events and just sort of talking to random people. I thought the best way to be would be to be involved in organization and that people would get to know me and how I work by actually working with me.
And the way that I found out was Margot, the Director at ADP for User Experience Design. She was actually on the board, and I was as well, of an organization called User Experience Professional Association. And she happened to post about an opening under her department. And I reached out to her. And I told her, you should consider me if you haven't hired anyone yet. And she just kind of put me through the regular recruiting process by starting with the HR person contact.

There's a lot of really next-gen projects that are using all the modern software pieces. And then from the Java side, there's the latest versions of Java, Microservices and a lot of interesting things going on in there. On the UI side, there's different projects using React and Angular. So everybody's keeping up with the latest to date.
[TEXT: Mia, Lead Application Developer]
We have a really cool stack. We use Spring Boot + Groovy which is a library that sits on top of Java. And then our UI uses React Redux with some ADP component libraries to make things a little easier, so you don't have to worry so much about styling and CSS.
[TEXT: Omar, Application Developer]
Well, I currently work on Angular, which is one of the top, most popular frameworks in front end development using JavaScript. If you are more into the backend as a developer, we are using Spring Boot, which is another fast growing, very popular-- it's been around for several years, one of those frameworks for the back end development using Java.
[TEXT: Manoj, Principal Data Scientist]
We use Big Data, Apache Spark, heavily, on AI and ML space. We work with Psychic Learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow, also Stage Maker.
[TEXT: Oscar Principal Application Developer]
My team specifically works with a lot of Angular, Docker, Amazon Web Services. The teams around us are using Spring Boot, Node Express. And if anyone ever has any ideas for new tools or anything, those are always open to be brought in and used.
[TEXT: Anjani, Design Engineer]
We work with a variety of tools and technologies. Like, we have Kafka, Hazelcast, and I mean there are like a number of tools in technology that we use. And we are also progressing towards AWS, which is a boom in the market right now. So, yes, I think we constantly tries to keep changing to the latest technologies in the market. And we all are increasing our key skills, as well.

Hi. My name is Fred. I'm with a global product technology organization with ADP. I was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for six years, and I've been with ADP for 22 years.
[TEXT: Fred, Application & Technology Specialist]
I am a end user computing specialist, so we take care of the associate and all of their productivity. One of my primary roles is taking care of our senior executives in the building. We have two XCOM members, and my role is to make sure that they don't have any technology issues, and if they do, to resolve them.
One of the things I had missed from the military was camaraderie, where the people that you work with every day really care about you and want to make you succeed. Here at ADP, I have found a very similar environment of camaraderie where people really care about each other and about the environment and the community as well as wanting people to succeed in ADP.
