In this role, you will support thousands of our developers using public cloud and on-premise private cloud services. Every day, you'll be the go-to for all Microsoft Azure. Whether it's managing access to our accounts, learning new systems, or developing automation, you'll support any needs that arise and fix any issues.
To thrive in this career, you'll need product development experience working with different developers to solve problems on the front-end for web components using Python and React. Our best Cloud Engineers are enthusiastic creators and continuous learners who stay current on new technology. They're always looking for new ways to make tools better for our users. You know how to work with a team to resolve developer issues in real-time, which means you might be paged at any time with production issues and expected to jump in to support those issues. If you are looking for strictly a 9-to-5 gig, this role may not be for you. Pace should not scare you. We still find time for a healthy dose of fun.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
- We'll start every day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities.
- Collaboration and Communication. You'll be the point person for developers and operations when they need to find a solution quickly. You'll listen to their needs, find a solution and share it.
- We're working on products with tech that we've never used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution.
- We're always learning new codes and investigating open source communities for best practices. Knowing what questions to ask is more important than knowing the right answers.
- Variety of work. You're experienced in building and supporting large distributed systems in the hybrid cloud space will allow you to balance the many priorities and aspects of this role. You're the go-to when things go wrong. You're always learning new services in Azure and providing governance in terms of costs and compliance. You'll be paged with production issues and expected to jump in to support those changes as needed.
- You have 2-5 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
- Prior experience that would give you extra comfort in the role includes:
- At least 2- 5 of recent experience as a hands-on IaC developer in the hybrid cloud space
- An example of the same or similar technologies: Python, Kubernetes, Kafka, Linux, SQL, Public Cloud (AWS or Azure).
