Job Title: Design Engineer IV
Location: Pasadena, CA
ADP Technology Services, Inc. seeks a Design Engineer IV at our Pasadena, CA location. Responsibilities: Participate in the implementation, operations, and management of services including high transaction Relational Databases, specifically Oracle, both in datacenters as well as the private cloud, to support critical client facing products. Play a lead role in performance tuning, scalability, and reliability design of high traffic databases. Participate in the development and implementation of database release automation frameworks. Define and implement proactive monitoring across databases to understand and mitigate potential client as well as system impact. Participate in schema design, query optimization, data migration, patching, and disaster recovery of product databases. Build and utilize the analytics presentation layer, including Dashboards, Reporting, and OLAP. Implement and utilize the Oracle OEM suite for database monitoring and capacity planning. Collaborate with System Architects, R&D and DevOps teams to help solve business problems from discovery to technical solution.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience. Employer will also accept a master’s degree plus three (3) years of related experience.
Three (3) years of experience must include: Oracle RAC (Real Application clusters) 12c, including Clusterware components, SCAN listeners, VIP’s management, ASM (Automatic Storage management) and ACFS (Clustered File system); and Oracle Database 11g, 12c and 19C, including Memory Management, Container and Pluggable databases, Performance Tuning, Backup and Recovery (use of 3rd party Storage management libraries), Golden Gate, Oracle Data Guard Replication, Oracle Enterprise Cloud Control 12c, OEM administration, Schema Design and SQL best practices.
