As a Lead Full Stack JavaScript Developer you will help create the best experience for our service associates in the Client Engagement Hub as part of the Global Enterprise Technology Solutions organization.  We need innovative thinkers and doers whop push the limits of technology.  You are joining us at a time of transformation and growth and will touch a range of solutions spanning web and mobile.

No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative developers to complete sprints identified during scrum meetings, where we tackle problems and prioritize what we code next. From concept to code, you’ll spend your days building new features and upgrades supporting business clients that employ anywhere from one to one million employees.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

• Build a service-oriented architecture using RESTful and GraphQL web services to integrate with a multitude of different systems of record.
• Develop a rich user experience using the latest browser-based technologies (ReactJS, Web Components, Web Sockets, Micro-Front ends)
• Support the development of our continuously improving CICD pipeline using Jenkins/Argo/Ferris wheel as we continuously strive toward a FASTER rate of continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with architecture peers, product owners, UI/UX, business stakeholders and globally distributed teams to better our product.
• Help to define best practices and standards as we continue to improve or development, testing, and deployment strategies.
• Scrums. You’ll start each day with a scrum, working with your team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities. As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll do more than code – you’ll share the intricacies and problems at hand.
• Learning. You’re always learning new codes and eager to figure things out as you learn.
• Teaching. You’ll help junior members on the team on-board and learn their trade through code reviews, pair programming, and mentorship.

A university degree is great but not required. What’s more important is having the skills and experience to do the job.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Expertise programming in the MERN stack (Mongo DB, Express, Reaction, Node.js) – Very strong in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, responsive, and cross-browser development.
• Proficiency in client-side frameworks such as ReactJS with an emphasis on structuring a large web application storing state in Redux as well as interacting heavily with Mongo DB.
• A strong understanding of API of all types (RESTful, GraphQL, SOAP) and how to interact with them through code and test tools such as PostMan.
• A desire to learn and keep up with the latest web technologies, adopting through a spike or proof of concept.
• A strong understanding of a microservices architecture with a heavy bent on continuous delivery and platform observability (Splunk, Dynatrace). Must understand Docker and deployments using Jenkins.
• On your scrum team, reporting status and recording work in Jira Software
• As a team lead, you will set the pace for technology, you will mentor junior team members, and you will set code quality standards
• You will communicate with global associates on your team
